The Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. (TAI) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1972 to honor, preserve, and perpetuate the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen—the African American pilots, navigators, bombardiers, maintenance personnel, instructors, and support staff who trained at Tuskegee Army Air Field and served with distinction during World War II. The organization’s mission centers on education, leadership development, and community engagement inspired by the achievements and values of the original Airmen.
